The Playbook Assistant speeds up contract reviews by automatically applying your organization’s negotiation rules. Instead of relying on static clause libraries, you can create playbooks for different agreement types (like MSAs or NDAs). During review, the AI will suggest edits, flag unacceptable terms, and surface preferred clauses—making redlining faster, more consistent, and less manual.

A description of the playbook (each playbook should correspond to an agreement type, such as MSA or NDA).
-
Clause-by-clause guidance, including:
Acceptable terms
Immediate rejections (if the counterparty proposes this language, reject immediately)
Specific modifications (e.g., replace X text with Y)
💡 Tip: Organize your playbook around agreement type so the AI can surface the right fallback positions during review.
Step 4 – Save Your Playbook
Once finished, click back or Save.
Your playbook will now be available to apply to documents during the collaboration process.
Applying a Playbook
When a collaborator opens a document, they will see a Playbooks option in the top-right corner of the interface. Click Playbooks & Select the playbook you’d like to apply.
The AI agent will analyze the document and:
Provide contextual comments for guidance.
Insert suggested clauses or terms where relevant.
Users can then choose to accept or reject each suggestion based on the playbook’s rules.
Example
The suggestions are shown directly in the document. Users can accept or reject them with a single click, ensuring consistency and speed in negotiations.
Tip: For practical examples of how teams use Playbooks in real contract review scenarios, see Playbook Assistant Use Cases and Examples.
