If you're encountering issues connecting a data source to Streamline —whether intermittent (transient) connection errors or a complete inability to connect—this guide can help you identify and resolve the problem.
Common Scenarios
You may be facing one of the following:
- You’ve successfully connected a data source before, but now encounter transient connection errors.
- You're unable to connect a data source at all.
In both cases, the most common root cause is a firewall configuration that is blocking outbound access from your network to Streamline’s services.
Step 1: Validate Your Firewall Configuration
To ensure proper connectivity, your network must allow outbound access to Streamline’s infrastructure. Specifically, you’ll need to ensure the following Elastic IP addresses (EIPs) are permitted through your firewall.
⚠️ Note: These IP addresses are AWS Elastic IPs that we own.
US West Cluster Elastic IPs

34.209.186.112 |

Still Having Trouble?
If you’ve updated your firewall settings and are still unable to connect:
- Double-check your network’s outbound rules or proxies.
- Contact your network administrator to ensure no additional restrictions are in place.
- Reach out to Streamline Support with details about your setup and any error messages you're seeing.
