Workspace is your personalized command center in Streamline. It gives you a clear view of everything assigned to you and makes it easy to take action on collaboration tasks, signature requests, or form-related steps. Whether you’re reviewing a document, completing a signature, or checking on progress, Workspace highlights exactly what needs your attention so you can move work forward quickly.

Workspace removes the guesswork and helps keep teams aligned and workflows moving smoothly.
Who Should Use Workspace
Workspace is designed for:
- Signers who need to complete agreements
- Collaborators reviewing or redlining documents
- Form participants who have fields assigned to them
- Admins and workflow owners who want visibility into all session progress
If you’ve ever wondered “Where can I see everything that needs my attention?” — Workspace is the answer.
How to Access Workspace
Click the briefcase icon in the left-hand sidebar to open Workspace.
Workspace includes two tabs:
1. Assigned to You
This tab shows all workflow steps currently assigned to you, including:
- Collaboration steps
- Signature steps
- Form-related steps
Each assignment includes helpful details such as:
- The date the assignment was sent
- The document type and document name
- The step type
- Any due date associated with the assignment
- Any external party representatives involved
Searching, Filtering, and Sorting
You can:
- Search for assignments using details like document name
- Filter by step type (Collaboration, Sign, Form, etc.)
- Sort by newest or oldest assignments
Reassigning Tasks
If you need to reassign an item, click the three dots next to the assignment and choose Reassign.
2. All Sessions
The All Sessions tab provides a high-level view across all workflow sessions.
This tab is especially helpful for admins, workflow owners, or anyone needing visibility into overall progress.
Here you can:
- View sessions across all projects
- See the current step, assignees, start date, and time elapsed
- Filter by step type or session characteristics
- Customize the table to show the columns that matter most to you
Viewing More Session Details
For each session, you can view additional information or take action as needed. If the session includes multiple signers, you can expand the signer list to see everyone involved.
Click the three dots beside a session to open the available settings. The options shown here depend on the assignment type and where the workflow is in its process. Depending on the session state, you may see options such as:
- Session Details – view an expanded timeline of activity and events
- Document Details – open the Document Repository to see metadata and version history, including any redlines
- Reassign – update the assigned individual if needed
- Resend Request – resend notifications to participants
- Project Page – jump directly to the associated project for more context or to review workflow configuration
These tools make it easy to understand where a session stands and take action to keep workflows moving.
This tab provides complete visibility into ongoing workflow activity so you can monitor progress and resolve bottlenecks quickly.
Working with Active Collaborations
Under the Assigned to You tab, you can filter by Collaboration to see all active collaboration steps assigned to you. Click the Collaboration assignment to open the document.
A screen will pop up to confirm your details before working with the document.
Make Suggestions and Submit Changes
Under the Collaboration tab, you can use the collaboration tools to:
Add comments
Accept or reject existing suggestions
Navigate between comments using “Previous” and “Next”
Resolve any finalized feedback
💡 Tip: From the toolbar above, you’ll find many additional options for working with your document. For example, you can adjust the page layout, combine the document with other files, and more.
Add Additional Collaborators
Need a second opinion? Click the Collaborators button (top-right) to invite additional reviewers.
Collaborators can be internal or from an external party, depending on your permissions.
Submit or Complete Collaboration
When you're ready, click Submit.
You’ll be given two options:
Submit Changes & Notify: Shares your edits with other collaborators
Complete Collaboration: Finalizes this step, removes all redlines and comments, and moves the workflow to the next step
⚠️ Be sure you’re ready when finalizing. completed collaborations cannot be undone.
📌 Note: The Submit button will only appear if you are the Document Owner or an external party who has been assigned version changes to review.
Collaborators on the document can still leave comments or make edits on the current version as needed, but they will not see the Submit button.
Managing Sign Requests
Click the Assigned to you tab to view documents awaiting your signature.
Each request includes the document name and due dates (if applicable).
Click the document directly from Workspace to open and complete the signature request.
🔍 Only documents where you’re assigned as a signer will appear here.
Notes and Tips
If you don’t see any action items listed, it means you haven’t been assigned to any workflow steps yet.
Documents visible on these tabs are based on your specific project access and role in workflows.
