Long Text Fields: A Quick Guide

Adding long text fields to your form step provides users with the flexibility to enter detailed, multi-line responses. These fields are particularly useful for collecting comprehensive feedback, comments, or descriptions.

How to Add a Long Text Field

1. Navigate to the form step 
2. From the build tab, drag the long answer field to the desired location in your form

Configuring Long Text Field Settings

After adding the field, you can customize its properties on the left-hand side:

• Customize field properties like the Field Label. 
• Check out our internal label If you'd like to create a unique internal field name you can target for data mapping and CSS styling. 
• Add supporting text to give the field more context. 

• Add placeholder text 
• Hide or show the field label
• Make the field required

Field Input Limits

Use the editor on the left-hand side to set input limitations:

• Adjust field width by setting the number of columns
• Control field height by setting the number of rows
• Set minimum and maximum character limits (up to 60,000 characters)
