Welcome to Streamline! In this article, we will walk you through the first-time login process and give you an overview of the platform's main features to help you get started with ease.
Step 1: First-Time Login
When you first access Streamline from this page, you'll see a link in the bottom the screen. Clicking this link will take you to the registration page where you can create your account. If you already know your login information, you can add your email & password and click log in.
Tip - make sure to save your username and password for future logins. Once you've entered your details, click Create Account to proceed.
Step 2: The Landing Page
After successfully creating your account, you’ll land on the main dashboard of the Streamline platform. Here, you will see a range of widgets designed to help you get started. These widgets include:
- Recently Created: Add new users and manage permissions.
- Data Connections: Start integrating your data sources, which will be used in your workflows.
- Project and Workflow Trends: Create and manage your projects and workflows that incorporate your connected data.
As the platform develops, more widgets will be added to the landing page. Additionally, you will soon have the ability to create your own widgets for a more customized experience.
Step 3: The Side Panel
On the left-hand side of the screen, you’ll find the navigation panel. Here's a breakdown of the key sections:
Home: Takes you back to the landing page.
Projects: Manage your projects and workflows.
Data Center: Manage your data sources, data catalog, and datasets.
User Management: Manage user permissions and user groups.
Integrations: Connect to a data (examples:Salesforce, MySQL) or event integration (Dropbox, Google Drive) to be used in your workflow.
Notifications: View any notifications related to your account and activities.
Sign Out: Logout of the platform.
These sections provide a seamless experience as you navigate through the platform.
Step 4: Getting Started with Projects and Data
To begin using Streamline, we'd recommend you start by connecting your data source through the integrations tab. Once this is done, you can set data classification parameters and create initial datasets. After configuring your data catalog, you can begin building projects. These projects bring together various elements such as forms, documents, and data integrations into one unified build experience.
Additionally, Streamline provides role-based access permissions for users and user groups involved in your projects, allowing for efficient management of who can access what within your projects.
